Our gold-plated stainless steel jewellery is PVD coated 18k gold onto durable stainless steel. PVD coating 18K gold on stainless steel offers significant advantages over traditional gold plating methods such as electroplating or ion plating. Unlike conventional plating, which deposits a thin and often uneven layer of gold that can fade, chip, or tarnish over time, PVD creates a molecular bond between the gold layer and the stainless steel surface.

This results in a much harder, more durable, and scratch-resistant finish that maintains its colour and shine for years.

The process is also hypoallergenic and environmentally friendly, as it uses no harsh chemicals or cyanide-based solutions. Additionally, PVD allows for a more consistent and luxurious appearance, closely resembling solid gold while being far more affordable. In essence, PVD-coated 18K gold stainless steel jewellery combines the beauty of real gold with the strength and longevity of modern technology, making it superior to conventional gold plating in both performance and value.

All pieces can be worn in the shower and when you swim and won't tarnish quickly due to the PVD plating technique we use for all our jewellery. This being said, constant exposure to water may speed up the wear of your pieces.

No! All pieces are nickel-free and hypoallergenic. Our jewellery is perfect for those who have sensitive skin.

Most orders ship within 2-3 business days of purchase unless a specific ship date is indicated on the product. Delivery times are provided solely as a guideline and are subject to change at any time. Orders placed during a launch or busy period will ship within 5 business days.

Orders placed during launches or busy periods may take longer than usual to process and prepare to ship due to high volume. We do our best to deliver within the delivery time indicated on each individual product and will inform you if we cannot meet the delivery date.

As soon as your order ships, you should receive an email confirmation to the email address you entered on your order. If you did not receive an email, please check your junk/spam folder and add info@dayinmay.com.au to your safe sender list.

If your item arrives damaged please email info@dayinmay.com.au within 72 hours of delivery with photos and your order #.

If you’re still receiving an error message after reviewing your credit card information, billing and shipping address, make sure you’re using the latest version of your web browser. If the issue persists, please contact your credit card company to ensure there are no holds placed on your card.
