Sustainability
At Day In May, we strive to be as sustainable & ethical as possible.
JEWELLERY
Our eco-friendly, sustainably jewellery is made of stainless steel which is naturally rust free and hypoallergenic (making it safe for the person wearing or producing our jewellery).
The manufacturing of stainless steel jewellery also involves a cleaner process with fewer harmful chemicals and less water usage compared to some other metal used in jewellery production.
Our stainless steel jewellery is built to last, meaning it requires fewer replacements and contributes to less waste over time.
PACKAGING
Our Day In May jewellery boxes, inserts and pouches are made as a keepsake and are intended to be re-used to keep your jewellery protected. If you wish to store your jewellery in our pouches alone, our box inserts can fit inside the pouch and our jewellery boxes are composed of cardboard so they can be recycled.
Our 100% compostable mailer bags protect your order from the harsh elements during travel so your pieces arrive in the best condition possible.
Our cardboard mailer boxes are made from recycled paper and are recyclable and compostable.
HEADQUARTERS
In our HQ we reuse, repurpose and recycle as much packaging and materials as possible. We minimise waste, limit printing, recycle and reuse office supplies where appropriate.
SUPPLIERS
We have carefully selected all our Day In May suppliers to ensure production and manufacturers work within safe and ethical working conditions. We are proud to say our jewellery suppliers use premium, responsibly sourced materials to bring our custom designs to life.
Day In May acknowledges the Turrbal People & Jagera People as the Traditional Custodians of the land where we gather each day. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today and always, who have walked upon and cared for this beautiful land for thousands of years; and to their Elders both past, present and emerging.
